Job Summary
Senior Information Technology Network Security Administrator responsible for vulnerability assessments, patching, malware protection, log management, user permissions, and secure network operation. Oversees inbound/outbound traffic restrictions, third-party vendor connectivity, monthly vulnerability assessments, high-risk system identification and remediation, and comprehensive data security practices including encryption and access control. Provides technical direction for the network team, SAN/VMware/Web Services/Database administration, and performance monitoring; participates in disaster recovery/business continuity exercises; ensures secure WAN/LAN operation, proper device hardening, and ongoing improvements to network architecture. Requires 7-10 years of network/security experience with Cisco routing/switching, VPN, IP telephony, and UNIX/Linux; CCNA/CCNP certifications and information security certifications (CISSP, CEH, MCSE) are preferred; Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience as a network and/or security administrator
- strong hands-on foundation of Cisco routing and switching architectures
- DHCP/DNS, Cisco VPN and wireless solutions
- IP Telephony and IP data security practices
- excellence in analytical and interpersonal skills
- experience with UNIX/Linux
- CAPABILITIES in security enterprise infrastructure
- experience with firewalls and IDS
