Job Summary
Conduct IT infrastructure management covering computer and network operations, system administration, telecommunications, and training. Establish procedures, provide services, and ensure sufficient systems capacity for organizational needs while creating and implementing comprehensive monitoring for servers, storage, databases, firewalls, and networks. Directly supervise 2-3 employees by interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, and addressing performance issues. Manage IT staff recruitment, prepare operating budgets, and obtain necessary equipment and services. Collaborate with business units on technology implementation, continuous process improvement, and project delivery. Provide support for internal and external audits and ensure systems support enterprise-wide technology requirements.
Required Qualifications
- MA, MS, MBA and or BS, BA or degree in related field
- 5 or more years of experience in related environment
- Microsoft Technologies product knowledge
- Familiarity with Unix and heterogeneous networks
- Technical and managerial experience in LAN, WAN, and telecommunications
- Related technical and managerial experience in a similar environment
- Knowledge of systems planning and design techniques
- Project management and related techniques
- Requires considerable knowledge of: modern office methods and procedures
- Requires considerable knowledge of: modern business English, spelling and arithmetic
- Requires considerable knowledge of: the operations of common office machines and equipment
- Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures
- Requires considerable ability to: establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers
- May require some lifting of computer parts and/or equipment
- Must be able to lift or move 5-10 lbs. occasionally
