Job Summary
Information Technology Project Manager for the State of South Dakota Department of Social Services, Divisions of Medical Services. Remote with quarterly on-site in Pierre, SD and/ or Sioux Falls, SD. Leads a team of analysts to oversee design, development, and implementation of enterprise IT projects (e.g., Provider Enrollment and Credentialling, MMIS System Modernization, Medicaid HR-1). Defines strategic direction, requirements, and governance; manages scope, schedule, and budget; coordinates development teams and vendors; supports testing and analysis; prepares status reports for executive decision-making; mentors state staff and ensures project governance and controls.
Required Qualifications
- PMP certification or equivalent working experience
- Knowledge of various software development methodologies (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.)
- Experience in project management and governance principles
- Lead a team of business and data analysts
- Define business and technological requirements
- Provide project management for large and small IT projects
- Mentor state personnel in project management
