Job Summary
Manager, Information Technology leads IT strategy, oversees day-to-day IT operations, ensures secure, compliant infrastructure, mentors the IT team, and drives collaboration across departments to support patient care and organizational growth. Key duties include operational oversight of IT services, infrastructure and network security optimization, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance (HIPAA/HITECH/PCI), business continuity and disaster recovery, IT budget management and vendor liaison, and mentoring a high-performing IT team. Required strengths include strategic guidance on technology adoption, strong communication across diverse audiences, experience in healthcare IT environments, familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH, and certifications in healthcare IT security, general IT security, or project management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Health Informatics preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of IT experience
- 3+ years in a healthcare setting
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management capacity
- Healthcare IT security certifications encouraged: HCISPP
- General IT security certifications: CISSP, CISM, or Security+
- Project management certification: PMP
- Knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH compliance
- IT budget management
