Information Technology (IT) Audit Intern

Job Summary
Conduct internal audit engagements and assist in evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of IT infrastructure, application systems, and operating procedures. Participate in process walkthrough meetings to identify and test IT and automated controls, ensuring data integrity and security. Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews by gathering relevant data, documenting areas of concern, and collaborating on the development of audit reports with key findings and recommendations. Assist senior auditors and external partners in coordinating IT-related matters while helping to design and implement AI and agentic automation solutions. This summer and/or fall 2027 internship offers part-time flexibility (minimum 20 hours/week) with a paid hourly wage.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business/Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Current/most recent GPA of 3.25 or above
- Familiar with business systems and technology concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to utilize critical thinking and technical aptitude to draw conclusions based on the information presented
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems of a moderate complexity independently
- Ability and willingness to work well in teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications
- Campus involvement and leadership experience
- Experience with data analysis techniques
- Experience with Adobe Pro and Microsoft Visio
- Experience with data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, Informatica IDCM)
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Agent building (Copilot)
