Job Summary
Entry-level IT Intern role focused on learning to be a helpful guide and hands-on expert for personnel navigating daily technology. Under guidance, provide help desk support across Long Island locations via on-site, remote, and phone assistance; configure and troubleshoot hardware/software for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices; assist with basic Azure administration; create and update user guides and documentation; and help ensure security procedures and software patching are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid New York State driver’s license
- Ability to travel to various organization locations across Long Island
- Basic familiarity with mobile devices and mobile device management
- Foundational networking concepts (TCP/IP, wireless, routing, firewalls)
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
- Experience with help desk systems or ticket management (learning-oriented)
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 50+ pounds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work authorization to legally work in the United States
