Information Technology Cross-Function Vice President

Job Summary
Own the daily delivery of IT services for SMBC's London-based Lease Finance Subsidiary, acting as the conduit between the business and technical support staff. Liaise with cross-functional IT Support Teams to ensure efficient system operation, while working with Lease Finance management to translate business needs into IT requirements and manage the resulting backlog. Negotiate expectations with multiple stakeholders including Risk, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting, and provide face-to-face, Microsoft Teams, and written updates to Programme Management. Develop delivery plans with key milestones, lead periodic review meetings to monitor progress and mitigate risks, and align platform delivery to the target operating model defined by the Leasing team. Manage communication regarding service outages and data incidents with appropriate urgency, ensuring equitable status for SMLF UK within the Global Leasing Product Team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in transformation and change programmes in Lending in one or more of the following areas: Lease Finance, Process Automation, APIs, Risk Management
- Good knowledge and understanding of Leasing products
- Able to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point
- Strong relationship building skills & communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience in conducting workshops with senior stakeholders
- Must be able to work with analysts, developers, vendors alike in a collaborative manner
- Good knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
- Educated to degree level or relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in transformation and change programmes in ALFA or other core Leasing platforms
- Good knowledge of project management, process mapping and business requirements gathering
