Job Summary
IT/Assurance Specialist I supporting DoD SAPs and SCI programs within Special Access Programs, providing day-to-day support, AIS accreditation review, security coordination, system administration (VTC, accounts, help desk, hardware/software configurations), and vulnerability countermeasures. Requires Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, willingness to undergo a polygraph, and DoD 8570.01-M Level 2 certification within 6 months. Bachelor’s degree or four years of related experience; travel within the organizational AOR; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; strong Windows server/Exchange administration, LAN/WAN know-how, risk management/framework familiarity, and cross-domain solution awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or equivalent experience (Four (4) years)
- Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of the date of hire.
- Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
- Willingness to travel within organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, and written and oral command of English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008 R2/2012 R2 Server, Exchange Server 2003/2010, Windows 7/10
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and data backup
- Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, System Security Policy
- Experience with PL1 & PL2 systems; cross-domain solutions desired
