Information Technology/Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist I

The primary function is providing day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) for DoD agencies (e.g., HQ Air Force, OSD). Responsibilities include establishing complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces, maintaining file servers, firewalls, network access, and security monitoring systems; analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies; preparing systems for operational use and testing; reviewing and updating authorization packages; conducting cybersecurity coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that makeup the authorization package; identifying vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures; performing VTC system administration, scheduling, and configuration; providing external information system client support; handling account management, help desk and troubleshooting activities; performing hardware/software configuration, upgrades, and patching; supporting Government-issued laptop management; and assisting with COMSEC/accountability activities. Requires TS/SCI with CI polygraph to start, 40-hour weeks, and travel 10-25%. The employer notes total rewards and onsite telecommuting options."
