Job Summary
Information Systems Specialist 5 (Quality Assurance Analyst) with a focus on testing across the SDLC, implementing automated regression testing, and ensuring security/compliance for DOJ information systems. Responsibilities include developing QA plans and test strategies, designing and executing test cases, maintaining artifacts, building QA dashboards, and ensuring traceability from requirements to test cases. Ideal candidates have Java-based automated testing experience (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, SpecFlow), ability to work in a fast-moving backlog, strong analytical and collaboration skills, and knowledge of QA methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, data validation (SQL) and API testing. This is a hybrid role based in Salem, Oregon, with occasional in-office meetings and a requirement to reside in Oregon by appointment; remote work is embraced where feasible without impacting business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) years of information systems experience in Java Development
- Education will be counted as experience if degree is in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or if a two (2) year accredited vocational training program was completed in information technology or related field
- Associate’s Degree (or 2-year vocational training) = Two (2) Years
- Bachelor’s Degree = Four (4) Years
- Master’s Degree = Six (6)
- Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check
- A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges
