Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Job Summary
ISSO role providing cybersecurity oversight, RMF execution, vulnerability management, and compliance support for IDM systems at Hill AFB. Responsibilities include managing the full RMF lifecycle, maintaining ACAS/HBSS/SCAP/STIG compliance, coordinating remediation, reviewing security configurations, supporting security authorizations and continuous monitoring, maintaining RMF documentation, and ensuring audit readiness. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of relevant experience, DoD RMF knowledge, NIST/FIS standards familiarity, STIGs/vulnerability tools experience, strong communication skills, Agile familiarity, Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and ability to pass a drug test. On-site at Hill AFB, Utah, with standard M-F schedule and potential occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting information assurance, cybersecurity, or information systems security activities
- Experience supporting DoD RMF processes and security authorization activities
- Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks, controls, and federal information security requirements
- Experience conducting vulnerability management, security compliance assessments, and remediation tracking
- Familiarity with STIGs, vulnerability scanning tools, and security compliance reporting
- Understanding of enterprise IT operations, including systems, networks, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies
- Experience supporting Configuration and Change Management processes
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and risk assessment skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare security documentation and reports
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Must possess a Secret clearance
- Must be able to pass a pre‐employment drug test
- Must be a U.S. citizen
