Job Summary
ISSO role on a U.S. government contract based in Washington, DC. The candidate will work as part of the IT Security Support Team to manage and operate an information systems security program, providing technical support in vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, product evaluation, security implementation, and remediation. Responsibilities include designing and implementing solutions to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information; analyzing and remediating cyber and insider threats; evaluating Civil Division systems and aiding security improvements; contributing to contingency planning; conducting security product evaluations; performing testing and audit log reviews; and supporting accreditation efforts under FISMA, NIST, FIPS, HSPD, and related guidelines. Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of information assurance experience, active CISSP, Top Secret clearance, and federal-government information systems experience. Location is onsite in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Information Technology or a closely related field
- 8+ years of progressive, technical (hands-on) experience in Information Assurance C&A
- Experience working as an ISSO supporting federal government information systems
- Experience with ISO, NIST and US Government standards and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. FISMA, FIPS, HSPD)
- Experience with ITS Publication 1075 for safeguarding of Federal Tax Information (TFI)
- IT security management, engineering, and analysis experience
- Must have active CISSP certification
- Active Top Secret clearance
