Job Summary
Lead onsite cybersecurity efforts for classified programs as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Apply RMF, DoD and DISA standards, COMSEC, and technical controls to protect classified assets; oversee security governance, risk management, and compliance; mentor and develop ISSM/ISSO staff; design and implement security policies, standards, and processes; oversee deployment and validation of security controls; perform risk-based assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response; advise engineering and program teams on secure architectures and system hardening in support of ATO/ATC requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active DOD SECRET clearance
- Minimum of eight years' progressive experience in cybersecurity, including at least three years in an ISSM or site leadership role overseeing classified systems
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field
- Experience with authorization package submission tools (e.g., eMASS) leading to successful Authorization to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC)
- Proficiency with industry-standard Information Assurance tools required for DCSA system authorizations (e.g., vulnerability scanning tools such as Evaluate STIG, ACAS; endpoint protection platforms; SIEM/auditing solutions)
- Experience with the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Guide (DAAG) or DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to undergo government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military education/training in a relevant field
- Familiarity with RMF/JSIG/NIST SP 800-37, SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253
