Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise information systems aligned with NIST Risk Management Framework, DoD STIGs, and CIS Benchmarks while partnering with system administrators and application teams. Perform security engineering throughout the System Development Life Cycle, including requirements analysis, design reviews, security testing, and accreditation support. Manage vulnerability assessment and remediation using tools like Tenable Nessus, Qualys, and Splunk Enterprise, and develop automation solutions with PowerShell, Python, Bash, and Ansible. Engineer and maintain secure Windows, Linux, cloud, and containerized environments, and produce technical documentation, risk assessments, and executive briefings. This onsite role requires an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and IAT Level III certification.

- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
- Three (3) years of relevant experience
- Nine (9) years of equivalent experience
- In lieu of a degree
- Active Top Secret clearance
- SCI eligibility
- Current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification
- SecurityX certification
- CASP+ certification
- CISSP certification
- CISA certification
- GCIH certification
- Equivalent to SecurityX/CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or GCIH
- Demonstrated experience with NIST RMF
- FedRAMP experience
- DoD STIGs experience
- ATO package development experience
- Cybersecurity compliance experience
- Networking experience
- Cloud security experience
- AWS experience
