Job Summary
Information Systems Manager responsible for district-wide management of staff and student information systems, technology, and reporting. Oversees daily operations of school administration and student information software and databases; coordinates interoperability between SIS, LMS, HRIS, and third-party ed-tech tools; manages user access, security, and data governance to comply with FERPA, privacy and accessibility requirements; designs secure, scalable data storage and performs routine data audits to ensure data integrity; ensures accurate state and federal reporting; plans system rollouts and maintenance; collaborates with the Town IT department on disaster recovery and cybersecurity; stays current with district tech software and advises administrators on trends; develops dashboards and reports, and provides training and documentation; supervises Software Applications Support Specialists and supports policy and procedure improvements; acts as liaison between school administration and town departments to ensure smooth data operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, computer science, or related field
- Massachusetts DESE certification highly desirable (Instructional Technology and/or Supervisor); or eligibility to earn credentials
- Minimum 3 years of related database and systems integrations, and major education technology platforms experience, 5 years preferred
- Experience supervising staff
- Demonstrated knowledge of school data and information systems, management, and related systems integration
- Understanding of educational and organizational data security and reporting requirements
- Proficient using standard educational software such as Google, ASPEN, TeachPoint, Munis, Talent Ed, Open Architect, ZOOM, Panarama, Naviance, PSNI, Applecare, TEC, Clever, Asset Manager, and other computerized tools utilized in K12 schools
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively to address concerns and resolve conflict in a professional, courteous manner
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment
