Job Summary
Information System Security Officer at SpaceX responsible for leading the complete RMF A&A lifecycle for SpaceX classified information systems, driving governance and assessment activities, and serving as the face of the classified cyber assurance program to internal and external stakeholders. Duties include coordinating audits and tests, integrating regulatory/contractual requirements, maintaining awareness of evolving practices and risks, and selecting toolsets (Nessus, Splunk, ServiceNow, eMASS) to improve effectiveness. Requires DoD RMF/JSIG/ICD 503 experience, 3+ years in cyber assurance for classified systems, high school diploma or equivalency, active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, CI polygraph, ability to obtain ATOs for sensitive systems, and onsite work in Hawthorne, CA with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of experience managing cyber assurance for classified computer systems/networks IAW NIST 800-53, DAAPM, JSIG, and ICD 503
- Experience with obtaining ATO(s) for networks, weapon systems, and satellite systems
- Demonstrated experience with COMSEC procedures and practices
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph, or ability to successfully complete
- DoD IAM Level III eligibility
- Ability to travel both locally and domestically
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- This position is based in Hawthorne, CA and requires being onsite - remote work not considered
