Job Summary
Administer, maintain, and upgrade classified virtual enterprise systems including VMware, Linux, Cisco, and Windows platforms while performing site-lead duties for a team of security engineers. Execute continuous monitoring and security testing using Nessus, Trellix, and Splunk to identify findings, provide mitigation solutions, and manage patching requirements. Ensure system changes undergo rigorous review to prevent security impacts and maintain local Trellix/ENS installations and upstream connections with DISA and C5ISR. Develop authorization documentation in conformance with standards and assist clients in completing POA&Ms. This role requires an active Secret clearance with Top Secret preferred and involves 8+ years of experience in system deployment, network engineering, and team leadership within a DoD program in Richardson, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
- Top Secret clearance
- 8+ years of experience in deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring computer systems and networks
- Previous team leadership experience
- Experience with implementing highly technical solutions and reporting their importance to the organization and stakeholders
- Technical certifications such as a CISSP, CCNA, Security +, RHCSA, or similar
- Experience with VMware vSphere
- Enterprise Linux (Red Hat, OEL, Fedora) experience
- Windows Workstation and Server deployment and administration experience
- RMF, NIST, and NISPOM requirements, configurations, settings, and documentation knowledge
- Network engineering experience
- Experience administering, maintaining, implementing upgrades, and ensuring the readiness of several classified virtual enterprise systems and corresponding technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Enterprise Linux, Cisco Systems (Switch, Router, NGFW), Palo Alto, Windows Server, Windows Workstation)
- Experience performing enterprise software installations and upgrades
- Experience with Ansible or PowerShell automation
- Experience performing appropriate continuous monitoring and systems security testing using tools such as Nessus Security Center/ACAS, Trellix, and Splunk Enterprise
- Experience providing mitigation solutions for identified findings and patching requirements
- Experience ensuring that proposed system changes are reviewed and that implemented system modifications do not adversely impact the security of the system
- Experience maintaining local Trellix/ENS installations and upstream connections
- Experience working with upstream service providers such as DISA and C5ISR
- Experience ensuring that authorization/re-authorization support documentation is developed and maintained in conformance with applicable standards
- Experience assisting with the client's progress towards completion of POA&Ms
- Must be available for on-site security engineering, systems administration, and information assurance support in Richardson, TX
Desired Qualifications
- Top Secret clearance (preferred over Secret)
- Knowledge of Cisco ISE/Forescout CounterACT NAC technologies
- DISA ACAS and Trellix Certifications
- Experience with Cisco Systems (Switch, Router, NGFW)
- Experience with Palo Alto
- Experience with Windows Server
- Experience with Windows Workstation
- Experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, etc.)
- Experience with Enterprise Linux (Red Hat, OEL, Fedora)
- Experience with Ansible or PowerShell automation
- Network engineering experience highly sought after
