Job Summary
The Information Security Manager will lead an information security program for an IC client in the Washington DC Metro area, overseeing incident response, vulnerability management, security enforcement and accreditation activities, developing security policies, providing security training, and maintaining security infrastructure including perimeter defenses and logging. Responsibilities include coordinating IA-related repairs, supporting applications/operations, guiding incident response and legal action determinations when needed, establishing program structures for boundary defense, incident detection/response, key management, supporting system developers, evaluating Certification and Accreditation outcomes, monitoring IS vulnerabilities, implementing vulnerability countermeasures, developing customer support policies, and scripting to ensure security, with hands-on work in areas like IDS, firewalls, backups, and log archiving; and training for IAT Level I & II personnel, while analyzing IAVAs/ICVAs/IAVBs for risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with a CI polygraph
- Ability to commute to Alexandria, VA office five (5) days per week
- Doctorate degree in a STEM-related technical field with 8 years of relevant experience
- Or master’s degree with 10 years of related experience
- Or bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience
- OR associate’s degree with 14 years of experience
- OR high school diploma with 16 years of experience
- One or more of the following certifications: GIAC Security Expert (GSE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
