Job Summary

Information Security (INFOSEC) Analyst position supporting the U.S. Coast Guard headquarters team to provide policy and security program support for the security and resilience of critical USCG missions, infrastructures, and assets. The role includes advisory, analytical, and physical security support for CNSI, CUI, and SBU information, policy development and compliance activities, and development of training materials. Responsibilities include analyzing new and existing information security policy and guidance defined in Executive, DHS directives, and DoD mandates; advising on safeguarding, handling, and marking CNSI, CUI, and SBU information; managing security violations and coordinating with Contracting Officer's Representatives; conducting Staff Assistance Visits to assess unit compliance; and developing information security training and awareness products for USCG personnel at all levels. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in information security policy, planning, assessment, and administration, with demonstrated proficiency in CNSI safeguarding, CUI administration, SBU information management, EO 13526 implementation, and security violation management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in security-related discipline and five years direct relevant experience; or 10 years directly relevant experience (may substitute for degree)
  • Five (5) years of direct relevant experience in information security policy, planning, assessment, and administration
  • CNSI Safeguarding, Handling & Marking
  • CUI Program Administration
  • SBU Information Management
  • Executive Order 13526 Implementation
  • Security Violation Management
  • Demonstrated customer service, technical writing and editing, and interpersonal skills
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to pass DHS security requirements to obtain an ID card and for handling Controlled Unclassified Information
  • Prior direct support to USCG information security programs is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with DHS information security policy frameworks and DHS Management Directive directives
  • Experience with Coast Guard Business Intelligence or similar systems
  • Homeland defense, homeland security, Defense Support for Civil Authorities, antiterrorism/force protection, or law enforcement background
