Job Summary
Monitor Data Loss Prevention alerts and incidents across endpoints, email, cloud applications, and collaboration platforms to detect potential data leakage. Investigate policy violations and suspicious user activities to determine risk, then perform triage, validation, categorization, and escalation according to established procedures. Analyze alerts from DLP, Insider Risk Management, CASB, and Email Security solutions while documenting findings for audit compliance. Collaborate with business users and security teams to validate legitimate activities and resolve false positives, assisting in policy tuning and optimization. Escalate insider threats and compliance violations to senior analysts and incident response teams.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, IT support, risk management, or related domains
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, information protection, and data security principles
- Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) concepts and information protection controls
- Understanding of sensitive information types, data classification, and data handling requirements
- Basic understanding of endpoint security, identity management, and access control principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and security reporting
- Ability to investigate alerts and identify suspicious user behaviors or policy violations
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to document incidents clearly and communicate findings effectively
- Understanding of confidentiality, privacy, and compliance requirements related to sensitive data
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies, monitoring techniques, and cybersecurity best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to security monitoring platforms, SIEM solutions, and security incident management processes
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and enterprise collaboration platforms
- Knowledge of incident management and ticketing tools
