Job Summary
Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and best practices for Navy combat systems while conducting research and analysis to support DOD cyber assurance efforts. Lead working groups to formulate strategies addressing emerging threats and perform gap analysis on cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policies. Execute system engineering design, documentation, and risk assessment plans utilizing MBSE models to mitigate threats across multiple classification levels. Requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, five years of program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems, and an IAT Level II certification.
Required Qualifications
- An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- US Citizenship
- Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience
- Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or successor
- If performing as a Privileged User: a final adjudicated T-5/T-R with an IT level-1 designation in JPAS
- Privileged users must also complete Operating System (OS)/Computer Environment (CE) training for each version within six (6) months of start date
- Possess an understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies for both Land Based and afloat/tactical systems
- The ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations
- This position will be seated 100% on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia
- Travel: Negligible
