Job Summary
Manage classification and declassification programs by supporting original and derivative activities, applying markings and redactions, and processing Mandatory, Automatic, and Systematic declassification reviews. Track classified information from origination through its 20-year mark for National Archives release and maintain searchable repositories for Security Classification Guides and program records. Execute security assessments, staff assistance visits, and compliance inspections to evaluate document accuracy and identify deficiencies. Process classified material curation, courier requests, and destruction operations using disintegrators and degaussing equipment while maintaining Two-Person Integrity protocols. Support the USSOUTHCOM Garrison by managing CUI programs, foreign disclosure activities, and industrial security initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI or Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Active security clearance
- Certification to operate classified material destruction equipment, including the SEM Model 23/5 disintegrator
- Department of Energy (DoE) certification to conduct reviews and identify DoE-related classified information
- Appropriate access and read-on requirements for CNWDI and RD/FRD information, as applicable to assigned duties
- Annual Foreign Disclosure Training
- Training and qualifications required to support Two-Person Integrity (TPI) destruction operations
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Security Management, Intelligence, Government, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or federal government information security programs
- Experience with classification and declassification processes and applicable federal security policies
- Experience handling classified information and supporting collateral and/or SCI security programs
- Knowledge of DoD information security, classification marking, declassification, CUI, and security incident procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Security Management, Intelligence, Government, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
