Information Security Cyber Defense Incident Responder

Job Summary
Design, implement, and optimize information security controls, processes, and tooling across cloud, endpoint, and application environments. Perform advanced threat, vulnerability, and control gap analysis to translate findings into prioritized remediation plans for engineering, product, and operations teams. Serve as a subject matter expert advising on architecture, data protection, identity management, and secure configuration standards. Drive security-by-design by reviewing architectures and defining requirements while collaborating on cross-functional initiatives. Develop detection, monitoring, and incident response playbooks to investigate complex security events and recommend containment, eradication, and recovery actions. Produce documentation, runbooks, and guidelines while mentoring team members and contributing to standards, frameworks, and best practices. Use data and dashboards to evaluate control effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity operations, security engineering, or a closely related technical security discipline
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or operating security controls and processes in cloud-based or distributed technology environments
- Experience collaborating with engineering, product, or operations teams to assess security risk, define remediation approaches, and implement secure-by-design solutions
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Zillow India office
- Must be available for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month at the Zillow India office
