Information Security and Compliance Manager

Job Summary
Develop and implement security policies, train staff on security procedures, and respond to security incidents. Prepare the organization for Information Security certifications like ISO/IEC 27001 and lead company-wide initiatives to prioritize compliance efforts. Establish a compliance hotline to manage concerns and coordinate organizational changes, while developing and executing training programs for employees on HIPAA regulations and specific state requirements such as HB 300. Monitor HHS and state regulatory updates to adjust the compliance program accordingly, conduct frequent audits to address gaps, and consult with clients to implement standardized compliance programs for small and medium-sized clinics. This role involves leading a significant initiative to grow the team and provide HIPAA/Security consulting to clients across the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Master preferred
- 5+ years of Security Compliance program monitoring and reporting
- 3+ years supervising a small team of security or compliance specialists
- experience in getting ISO certification successfully completed
- 5+ years experience in leading multi-organizational initiatives, and driving team accountability to achieve impactful goals
- 3+ years of experience working in an operations environment, driving improvements resulting in measurable business impact
- 5+ years working with IT Teams for a IT related security assessment and compliance
- ISO Certification Experience
- HIPAA Compliance Experience
