Job Summary
Join Lancope's Threat Intelligence Team as an Information Security Analyst to help protect against cyber-attacks. Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, applying new techniques to telemetry data, and developing proofs-of-concept to demonstrate new techniques' efficacy. The applicant should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in network/system administration, IT security, and a solid understanding of the current security threat landscape, particularly in network and web-based threats.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years relevant experience
- Network administration or System administration (Windows or Unix)
- IT security with a focus on computer forensics, incident response, malicious code/exploits, anti-virus
- Knowledge of the current security threat landscape
- Familiarity with Windows exploits, malware and malicious code trends
- Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
- Knowledge of one or more programming/scripting languages
- Web application and script development
- Log and data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative problem solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills
- Excellent teamwork and people skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards long-term goals
Desired Qualifications

- Ability to own innovative ideas from invention to deployment
- Experience in incident response
