Job Summary
Information Security Systems Analyst for Microsoft Purview governance and protection. Responsible for day-to-day administration of the Purview platform, including data classification, labeling policies, auto-labeling, and DLP across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and endpoints. Core duties include incident/documentation of DLP, eDiscovery support, insider risk management policy administration, audit/reporting of compliance posture, and platform health monitoring. Requires collaboration with Legal, HR, and IT to ensure sensitive data (PII, IP, clinical trial data) is properly classified, protected, and governed per regulatory and internal policies. Qualifications emphasize experience with Purview/365 compliance features, regulated environments, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, and clear communication; preferred certifications such as SC-401 and experience with MCAS, SIEM, EDR, and life sciences/pharma exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in Information Security, IT compliance, or data governance role
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Purview or Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, including at least two areas: sensitivity labels, DLP, retention policies, eDiscovery, or Insider Risk Management
- Experience working within or supporting a regulated industry environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate alerts and interpret audit logs
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
