Job Summary
Respond to security requests from customers regarding physical access, firewall rules, content filters, and virus protection. Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage vulnerability analysis and audits for physical sites and data systems. Perform IEM log analysis, troubleshoot IT security issues, and prioritize escalations. Maintain threat and vulnerability management initiatives, update security policies, and participate in compliance audits such as SOX and HiTRUST. Serve as a subject matter expert for security tools, create documentation, and evangelize security within the organization. Occasional travel to data centers and on-call rotation required.
Required Qualifications
- College Degree in Computer Science or related field
- five years of experience in IT
- two years of experience in IT security
- Minimum of Security+, GIAC/ EC Council certification(s), or equivalent
- Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time
- Must be familiar with Checkpoint, Palo Alto or Cisco firewalls
- Must be familiar with Cisco Ironport
- Must be familiar with Trend Micro AV
- Must be familiar with Threat and Vulnerability Management
- Must be familiar with 2-factor Authentication
- Must be familiar with Access Control Systems
- Must be familiar with SIEM products
- Must be familiar with VMware products
- Must be familiar with Asset Management and Tracking
- Must be familiar with SIE
- Must have advanced computer troubleshooting skills
- Must have advanced analysis skills
- Must have advanced critical thinking skills
- Must have advanced problem solving skills
- Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions
- Must be able to work well under pressure and/or stressful conditions
- Must possess the ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately
