Job Summary
Monitor and analyze security systems and alerts across the enterprise environment, including network controls, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention technologies. Investigate security incidents, suspicious activity, and policy violations by performing initial analysis, evidence preservation, and containment actions. Execute approved security configurations, maintain identity and access management processes, and support forensic evidence collection and documentation. Collaborate with IT and business teams to reinforce security requirements, provide technical input to project teams, and assist with security awareness initiatives. Contribute to the execution of the information security program by performing assigned assessments, documenting risks, and communicating findings to improve operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on experience
- Foundational knowledge of information security principles
- Foundational knowledge of IT systems
- Foundational knowledge of enterprise technology environments
- 0–2 years of experience in information technology
- 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity
- 0–2 years of experience in a related technical role
- Hands-on work in security operations
- Hands-on work in system administration
- Hands-on work in networking
- Hands-on work in infrastructure support
- Hands-on work in comparable technical environments with security controls
- Hands-on work in comparable technical environments with monitoring considerations
- Hands-on work in comparable technical environments with compliance considerations
- Exposure to security monitoring
- Exposure to alert triage
- Exposure to incident investigation
- Exposure to vulnerability management
- Exposure to access control processes
- Exposure to compliance support
- Experience in regulated or audit-driven environments
- Functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act
- Functional knowledge of other Federal laws including U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act
Desired Qualifications
- Entry-level or foundational security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ISC² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), or similar credentials
- Hands-on work in security operations, system administration, networking, infrastructure support, or comparable technical environments with security controls, monitoring, or compliance considerations
- Exposure to security monitoring, alert triage, incident investigation, vulnerability management, access control processes, and/or compliance support
- Experience in regulated or audit-driven environments
