Job Summary

Conduct VA ITSN data analysis, reporting, and quality assurance by collecting, cleaning, and visualizing data to support decision-making and compliance for the Virginia Infant & Toddler Specialist Network. Build and maintain electronic compilations of coaching service agreements while validating primary qualifiers for site quality ratings and CLASS® scores. Develop dashboards and reports responsive to VDOE requests, compile monthly summaries, and complete grant applications in accordance with program frameworks. Collaborate with the Central Office to translate insights into actionable recommendations and serve as the CLASS expert for the Network. Complete certification in Infant and Toddler CLASS tools, participate in state and national meetings, and travel independently throughout Virginia as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, public policy, education research, or related field
  • Well-versed in collecting and analyzing data using a variety of research methods
  • Knowledge of data quality assurance techniques and procedures, and basic statistical formulas
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in data analysis, preferably within early childhood education settings
  • Proficiency with data entry tools (e.g., Excel, Airtable) and data visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Ability to also perform diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive data analytics
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills to explain complex data to non-technical audiences
  • Valid driver's license and insurance, and dependable transportation
  • Physically able to operate a vehicle and travel independently throughout the state as needed
  • Must complete a TB risk assessment, child protective services, sexual offender, and criminal history background check

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Strong familiarity with CLASS® framework, CLASS® quantitative research, and VQB5 system
  • Active certification of CLASS® Infant and Toddler tools
  • Experience working with education or program evaluation data
  • Understanding of early childhood development frameworks and quality improvement systems
