Job Summary
Coordinate library information literacy instruction and research services while leading reference staffing and tracking for students, faculty, and community patrons. Develop and publish information literacy guides, maintain the library webpage, and create a video collection. Supervise graduate assistants for social media and technical services, and evaluate library resources through assessment planning and data analysis. Act as a library liaison with faculty in assigned academic areas and educate them on Open Educational Resources. Participate in library-wide policy development and committee work to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion aligned with Franciscan ideals.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to the mission statement, core values and goals of Alvernia University
- A master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited institution
- Academic library experience in reference services, information literacy instruction, and library assessment and data collection
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff
- Utilizes excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt and lead in a changing library environment
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to effectively supervise student workers
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
