Job Summary
Design, develop, and manage technical writing and content creation for labeling documents, manuals, and operational specifications, including hardware and software user guides. Create structured content for installation, operation, and maintenance manuals, applying reuse strategies to deliver globally in 32+ languages. Manage the complete translation process with external vendors and ensure data integrity following ISO standards. Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to gather requirements and obtain information through product knowledge transfer and usability testing. Update legacy FrameMaker documentation and convert unstructured books to structured topics. Prepare and proof final delivery PDF files before production.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Technical Communication, science, technology or related field
- 3 years of experience or at least 10 years experience in Technical Publication/Technical Communication
- Knowledge of desktop publishing skills to create and manipulate new and existing documentation
- Skilled in the use of DITA – XML and content management system
- Skilled in the use of translation management systems
- Ability to maintain and adapt XSL-FO files
- Ability of illustrating complex technical concepts in easy-to-use illustrations
- Experience in the use of Solid Works, Corel Designer, Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble instruments to create installation and maintenance information
- On-site work in USA - Loveland
