Job Summary

Information Desk Attendant at SF State Information Center (Associated Students). Provide guests with exceptional customer service, manage desk services (lost and found, phone services, answering questions), check out keys, support student organizations, approve banners/flyers for Mezzanine, greet visitors, guide directions, maintain bulletin boards, and liaise between students, staff, and AS programs regarding CCSC. Requires current enrollment and campus familiarity; strong written/oral communication and ability to work independently with a professional attitude. Up to 15-20 hours/week at $20.61/hr starting July 15, 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a currently enrolled SFSU student with a minimum of 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates
  • Familiar with campus and campus related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude while working under stressful situations
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
  • Willingness to learn on the job about customer service requirements and Associated Students policies, departments, and organizations
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Must be punctual and responsible
  • Must be able to think and act quickly in a variety of situations
  • Able to lift 10-15 lbs, when needed
