Job Summary
Information Assurance Specialist III responsible for developing and enforcing IA policies, supporting ATO processes, managing IAVM programs, vulnerability assessment/mitigation, incident response, and continuous monitoring across DoD/MHS–aligned environments. Key duties include writing C&A documentation to obtain Authority to Operate, applying NIST/DoD IA standards, disseminating security guidance, coordinating with DoD DoN/MHS stakeholders, conducting risk assessments, coordinating incident response, and ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures. Requires active Secret clearance, IAT III, and CompTIA Security+ with 6+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency
- Active Secret security clearance required
- IAT III certification
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum of 6 or more years of information assurance experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency
- Experience with DoD and MHS environments
- Ability to work in DoD DoN environments
- Experience with tools such as SPLUNK, PowerShell, ACAS, NESSUS, Siphon
