Job Summary
Information Assurance Engineer responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s cybersecurity, information assurance, and risk management activities. Implement and monitor security controls, conduct risk assessments, support RMF processes (system categorization, control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, continuous monitoring), perform vulnerability assessments and security audits, assist with incident response, and maintain cybersecurity documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, contingency plans, security assessment reports). Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001, and DoD regulations; collaborate with IT/engineering teams and stakeholders to secure architectures, manage access controls, and support governance and training. Requires active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship; 7+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree in a related field; proficiency with security tools and metrics; willingness to work in office/hybrid/remote environments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in information assurance, cybersecurity, or information security
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management practices, and security frameworks
- Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning, and compliance activities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills in an agile environment
- Familiarity with NIST RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs, or related standards
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
