Job Summary
Implement processes and procedures for system enhancements, additions, and modifications. Respond to system issues and user requests while participating in Incident Management to resolve services promptly. Configure and optimize applications to meet clinical research or research workflow requirements, collaborating with vendors to identify improvement opportunities. Test systems to identify defects and develop mitigation plans, maintaining documentation and backup procedures for business continuity. Provide expertise in implementing new clinical research applications and technologies, ensuring systems meet security and privacy standards through collaboration with Information Technology. Work as a technical subject matter expert for Research Informatics applications, supporting patient safety and care quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred. Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, Business Administration, or related degrees and 3-5 years experience Research, clinical, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience
- Associate's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, Business Administration, or related degrees and 5-7 years experience Research, clinical, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience
- HS diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years experience Research, clinical, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience
- At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) Required within 120 days of hire
- Must complete Epic certification training if not already Epic certified in the most recent version of the Epic EHR product
- Must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
- Must live in the Kansas City metro area
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background investigation
- Must be willing to undergo a drug screen
