Job Summary
Attending Infectious Diseases physician within the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst. Responsibilities span inpatient consults, outpatient primary HIV care in an ambulatory setting, supervising and precepting ID Fellows and residents, teaching medical students and leading rounds, and participating in quality initiatives and collaboration with home care and public health agencies. On-call responsibilities are fulfilled remotely with ID Fellows as the first point of contact; weekend calls occur during ID consult rotations. Institutional activities include committee participation and academic duties. Candidate must have an MD degree and be board certified or board eligible in Infectious Diseases with NYS licensure and DEA/Medicaid numbers. Spanish speakers encouraged to apply. Faculty appointment and competitive compensation package including CME are offered. Compensation ranges from $242,000 to $270,000 FTE, annualized including on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions. Equal opportunity employer.
