Job Summary
Locum Infectious Disease Physician needed for inpatient coverage across three VA sites (Mary Washington Infectious Diseases, Stafford Hospital, Mary Washington Hospital). Responsibilities include microscopic specimen evaluation, management of vascular access devices/central venous catheters, familiarity with intravenous medications, central line placement, and intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8a–5p with call; Epic EMR used. Credentialing timeframe is 90 days. Must be Board Certified and hold BLS; license required for Virginia. AMN Healthcare provides malpractice insurance arrangement and travel/lodging support.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified in Infectious Disease
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Virginia medical license
