Job Summary
Infectious Disease Physician in an academic medicine setting. Full-time role based at Albany Medical Center with inpatient infectious disease consults and one half clinic day per week. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing a broad range of infectious conditions (sepsis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, prosthetic joint infections, complex skin and soft tissue infections, healthcare-associated and multidrug-resistant infections, HIV inpatient care, opportunistic infections, post-surgical and device-related infections), contributing to antibiotic stewardship, collaborating with hospital medicine, critical care, surgery, oncology, transplant, nephrology, and emergency medicine via telemedicine, and weekend call (1:5). Qualifications include board certification or eligibility in infectious disease; academic appointment commensurate with experience.
