Job Summary
Infection Preventionist for a full-time position at UMMC - North Street Campus in Batavia, NY. Responsible for conducting surveillance of healthcare-associated and community-acquired infections, interpreting and reporting data to the Associate/Senior Director of Infection Prevention and other stakeholders, preparing unit-level summaries, monitoring care activities for infection risk, investigating clusters with hospital epidemiology, contributing to infection prevention policy development, notifying health departments as required, collecting NHSN data, delivering in-service education on infection prevention, providing consultation on infection prevention issues, and participating in committees. Requires RN licensure in NY, BSN, CIC certification within 2 years of hire, and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Minimum salary $75,000; maximum $90,000; location-based pay considerations may apply.
