Job Summary
Plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of the Infection Control and Prevention Program in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. Help prevent and control the development and transmission of communicable diseases by assessing employees with open lesions or communicable disease for work ability. Collaborate with center leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection control goals. Record, track, and trend surveillance data on infections and report findings to the QAPI committee. Shift options include mornings, afternoons, and nights, with additional hours available by request. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Infection Preventionist (RN)
- Infection Preventionist (LPN)
- Nursing Diploma with an associated RN license from an accredited college or university
- Nursing Diploma with an associated LPN license from an accredited college or university
- Certificate/diploma or degree in nursing, or Bachelor's degree (or higher) in microbiology or epidemiology
- Associate's degree (or higher) in medical technology or clinical laboratory science
- Completion of training in another related field such as that for physicians, pharmacists, and physician's assistants
- Certification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880
