Job Summary
Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program,perform surveillance and investigations of outbreaks,train staff on infection prevention best practices,ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, IDPH and other guidelines,collaborate with clinical teams to reduce infections,conduct audits and maintain documentation for survey readiness,and support career development opportunities in infection prevention within Elevate Care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing
- Experience in infection prevention/control preferred
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is a plus or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with long-term care or skilled nursing facilities is strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
