Infection Preventionist (LPN)

Job Summary
Provides nursing care within scope of practice and coordinates, updates, and monitors infection prevention and control policies and practices. The Infection Preventionist (or designee) collects, analyzes and reports infection and antibiotic usage data and trends to nursing staff and health care practitioners; conducts risk assessment, provides education and training, and implements evidence-based infection prevention and control practices. Responsible for coordinating development and monitoring of the facility’s infection prevention and control policies, ensuring compliance with state, federal and local guidelines, and communicating with management and quality committees. Requires current LPN licensure in the state and CPR certification. One year of nursing experience preferred.
