Job Summary
Infection Preventionist responsible for investigating patient safety incidents, developing corrective actions, implementing and maintaining infection control policies, providing education and training on infection prevention, monitoring infection rates, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on risk mitigation, participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and maintaining accurate infection control records and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in the state of Michigan
- Nursing degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention and control
- Knowledge of infection control principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
