Job Summary
Oversee the planning, organization, development, direction, and evaluation of the infection prevention and control program across the community in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Incorporate current standards of practice into resident care and employee actions by identifying training needs based on infection surveillance and process/outcome measurement. Develop training plans and materials while evaluating the efficacy of educational programs provided throughout the facility. Serve as Staff Development Coordinator to ensure all training aligns with regulatory requirements and identifies specific Community training gaps. Maintain active CPR or BLS certification and specialized infection prevention training. Full-time position with mostly day shifts, offering a wage of $32.00 - $36.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN within the state in which you work
- active CPR or BLS Certification
- specialized training in infection prevention and control, including state-specific training required
- basic computer skills and ability to navigate/learn to navigate various software programs, including Learning Management software and the electronic health record
- at least 2 years' experience teaching or training adult learners
- experience in designing training plans
- at least 3 years working in long-term care
