Job Summary
Infection Preventionist, Acute at Sutter Health coordinates hospital-wide infection control and performance improvement programs, educates hospital personnel on infection prevention practices, and acts as a consultant/educator to support quality healthcare. Requires RN licensure in California, a CIC certification within 12 months or upon eligibility, and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, public health, microbiology, or epidemiology; 5 years of relevant experience with emphasis on acute care, data collection/analysis, and education of staff. Must demonstrate knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, regulatory requirements, infection prevention standards, and strong communication and problem-solving skills for hospital-wide programs.
Required Qualifications
