Job Summary
Conduct rounds to discuss and monitor infection prevention practices with staff, collect infection data from departments, and maintain records for each case of healthcare-associated infection. Lead outbreak investigations, investigate incidents of infections, and report findings to the appropriate person or department. Train staff members on the implementation of infection prevention practices and ensure the availability of required supplies. Requires an active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice, one year of specialized treatment experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting, and prior Infection Control experience. Required Qualifications
- Must have active, and in good standing, Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Prior experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- One year of prior experience providing specialized treatments in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- Prior Infection Control experience required
