Job Summary
Infection Prevention Nurse to lead and oversee the facility's infection prevention and control program at Del Rosa Villa Post Acute in San Bernardino, CA. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, and state guidelines; conducting infection surveillance, data collection, and trend analysis; investigating outbreaks and implementing corrective actions; educating and training staff on infection prevention protocols, standard precautions, and PPE usage; monitoring antibiotic stewardship and reporting findings to leadership; collaborating with nursing, environmental services, and leadership to maintain infection control standards; maintaining logs, reports, and regulatory documentation; participating in QAPI initiatives and regulatory surveys as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN or LVN license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, epidemiology, and aseptic techniques
