Job Summary
Provide expert infection prevention and control advice and clinical leadership while leading investigations into healthcare-associated infections and outbreaks. Develop and deliver infection prevention policies, education, and training, and conduct audits, surveillance, risk assessments, and data analysis aligned with NSQHS Standard 3. Support and mentor staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control (or working towards)
- National Hand Hygiene Initiative (NHHI) Hand Hygiene Educator accreditation (or working towards)
- Minimum five years' post-registration nursing experience
- At least two years' experience in Infection Prevention and Control
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Satisfactory background checks such as professional references
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
