Job Summary
Implement and manage infection prevention best practices across the organization, ensuring strict adherence to National Patient Safety Goals, OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other federal and state regulatory bodies. Collect, record, and analyze hospital records, laboratory results, and clinical data to monitor for potential outbreaks. Develop orientation, ongoing, and remedial training programs adhering to evidenced-based practice guidelines and evaluate staff competency. Perform surveillance for healthcare-associated infections, participate on safety committees, and gather monthly statistics on disease screenings. Conduct annual assessments of infection and clinical education plans while educating patients and medical staff on control policies. Requires current Nevada RN license, epidemiological experience, and CPR certification. Full benefits package available starting the first month of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nevada State RN License
- Proven experience in clinical data analysis and epidemiological practices
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA)
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, institutional safety protocols
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to effectively communicate with all staff and departments of the hospital as well as with outside entities and public health offices
