Job Summary
Infection Preventionist Nurse responsible for decreasing infection transmission across patients, staff, visitors, and the community by leading infection prevention goals, collaborating with the Medical Director and Pharmacist for antimicrobial stewardship, overseeing infection prevention and epidemiology programs, surveilling healthcare- and community-acquired infections, and driving quality improvement. The role includes educating staff and medical personnel on infection prevention, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in interdisciplinary efforts to maintain safe care environments.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of LVN or RN training from accredited school or college
- Valid LVN or RN license in good standing
- Valid CPR and BLS card
- Specialty training in Infection Prevention and Control through accredited continuing education
